We are not the Government or Ofgem
ApplyFreeBoiler.uk is run by a private installer, Reliant Energy Solutions Ltd. We are not a government body, Ofgem, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) or an energy supplier, and we do not run ECO4. The scheme is set by government, regulated by Ofgem and paid for by the larger energy suppliers, who fund installers like us for each completed job.

How It Works for You
Using the service costs you nothing. Here is what happens to your details at each stage.
You complete our online form: your contact details, address, whether you own or rent, your boiler's age and any benefits you receive. Where we can, we look up your property's public Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) on the government EPC register.
A member of our team reviews your answers and contacts you by phone or email to check the details and explain the next steps. A confirmation email is sent to you straight after you submit.
If your answers suggest you may qualify, we book a survey. The survey checks your property and your eligibility evidence. Final eligibility is decided under the ECO4 scheme rules after that survey.
If you qualify, our engineers fit the agreed boiler, heating controls or insulation. We then submit the completed work under ECO4 so it is funded by the scheme. Eligible households pay nothing for funded work.

We started operating in 2021, fitting boilers and insulation for households that qualify for ECO4 energy efficiency funding. In November 2024 we incorporated Reliant Energy Solutions Ltd.
We run ApplyFreeBoiler.uk so households can check whether they qualify and apply directly to the company that will survey their home and carry out the work, with no middleman.
